Guide to Semi-Automatic Spinning


Semi-Automatic spinning is best suited to
low - medium volume work.
Setting-Up - 1
The metal chuck for a 15" dia. Shade has been placed on the machine.
Setting-Up - 2
The material or blank is placed on a centering device and is then clamped to the spinning chuck.
Crimping the Material
The material or blank is crimped at the edges in order to strengthen the blank.
Spinning Begins
The roller is now pressed against the blank and the forming of the blank over the chuck has begun.
The Process Completed
The blank has now taken on the exact shape of the chuck.
