An inlet cone is shaped so that the shock wave that forms on its apex is directed to the lip of the intake; this allows the engine to operate properly in supersonic flight. The main purpose of an inlet cone is to slow down the flow of air from supersonic flight speed to a subsonic speed, before it enters the engine. Our equipment includes heavy-duty lathes for heavy materials, manual lathes for lighter and low-volume parts, CNC automatic lathes for volume work, a 3-D laser-cutting machine, a coordinate measuring machine, as well as punch and hydraulic presses and inlet cone parts. Today our quality system is registered to the ISO 9000:2000 standard. We are committed to producing inlet cone products of the highest quality.
